Universitas Terbuka (UT) kembali menggelar acara wisuda secara daring untuk kedua kalinya, Selasa (24/11/2020). Pada Wisuda Periode I Tahun Akademik 2020/2021 yang dihelat pada masa Pandemi Covid-19 ini  sebanyak 932 wisudawan resmi menyandang gelar akademiknya setelah lulus studi dari jenjang Diploma, Sarjana dan Pasca Sarjana, termasuk juga 12 orang wisudawan yang berdomisili di Malaysia, Singapura, Arab Saudi, Jepang, Belgia, Kanada, Prancis dan Inggris. Dalam sambutannya, Rektor UT Prof. Ojat Darojat, M.Bus., Ph.D. mengucapkan selamat kepada para wisudawan. Ojat berharap wisuda dalam jaringan ini tidak mengurangi makna dan kebahagiaan sebagai momen penting atas capaian prestasi akademik di UT. Dalam wisuda tersebut Rektor UT mengangkat tema “UT Berdaya Cipta ASN Berkualitas” terkait capaian UT sebagai universitas dengan lulusan terbanyak yang menjadi Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN) baru. Pada pelaksanaan Tes CPNS tahun 2019, sebanyak 9.436 alumni UT berhasil lulus dan menjadi calon ASN baru. Hal ini memperlihatkan kualitas lulusan UT yang semakin kompetitif dan siap mengabdi menjadi ASN yang adaptif, profesional, kompetitif dan berwawasan global. Pada kesempatan yang sama, Ketua Majelis Permusyawaratan Rakyat Republik Indonesia, H. Bambang Soesatyo, S.E., M.BA. mengapresiasi capaian UT dalam mengembangkan kurikulum yang semakin berkualitas sehingga mencetak lulusan yang berdaya saing dalam dunia kerja. Bambang menambahkan, UT lebih siap dalam menghadapi dunia pendidikan yang terdampak Pandemi Covid-19 karena UT telah mengaplikasikan pembelajaran jarak jauh dengan memanfaatkan TIK sejak 36 tahun silam. Pendidikan Jarak Jauh (PJJ) secara online menjadi solusi di tengah keterbatasan penyelenggaraan pendidikan tinggi secara tatap muka. Pada kesempatan tersebut, dilakukan penyerahan penghargaan kepada beberapa wisudawan terbaik yang meraih Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) 4.00. Mereka yang meraih Predikat Kelulusan Dengan Pujian tersebut yaitu Robert Harry Soesanto (Program Studi Magister Pendidikan Matematika dari UPBJJ-UT Jakarta), Nyoman Mira Yantini (Prodi Manajemen UPBJJ-UT Denpasar), I Kade Dwi Sumiantara (Prodi Manajemen UPBJJ-UT Denpasar), Bahariah (Prodi Manajemen UPBJJ-UT Majene) dan Hairwan (Prodi Manajemen UPBJJ-UT Majene). Rangkaian acara wisuda diakhiri dengan Pembacaan Janji Wisudawan UT oleh Lela Setyianingsih dari UPBJJ-UT Semarang yang juga merupakan lulusan termuda dalam wisuda ini. Sementara sambutan sekaligus ucapan terima kasih dari alumni diwakili oleh Achmad Tarmizi yang saat ini menjabat sebagai Sekda Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ulu Sumsel. Terakhir, penyerahan alumni UT oleh Rektor kepada perwakilan IKA-UT Drs. Leles Sudarmanto, M.M.

The Competition of Public Sector Innovation (COPSI) is one of the events in which we can appreciate the public sector innovators who have given the solutions for various issues. This activity was proposed by the Study Program of Public Financial Accounting-Indonesia Open University or Akuntansi Keuangan Publik (AKP-UT) and the Association of Public Sector Accounting Educators (APSAE) since 2019. The 2nd COPSI has been successfully convened throughout Sunday-Thursday/01-05 November 2020. The event is part of the serial events of the 3rd International Seminar on Business, Economics, Social Science and Technology (ISBEST),  an international seminar annually organized by Faculty of Economics of the Indonesia Open University (FE-UT). During the Covid-19  pandemic, Faculty of Economics of the Indonesia Open University remains productive in disseminating the results of its studies and researches online to the public in general and one of which is by holding the 3rd ISBEST and 2nd COPSI online. In order to create public optimism during the Covid-19 pandemic, the theme presented in the 2nd COPSI  was “Public Sector Innovation in Facing the Covid-19 Pandemic”. In this activity, the participants presented their innovations interactively on videos of their innovation products. The presentation was provided with the details or explanations, consisting of the motivation for making such innovation products, the benefits or advantages of the innovation products, the originality of innovation products, the methods of innovation development as well as  the testimony of the people who have used such innovation products in accordance with the assessment criteria for the 2nd COPSI. In addition, the audience also could personally give their support by taking part in the polling where they can choose their favorite participants and expressing their supports by hand-clapping on the ZOOM layer in order to support their innovation products that they think most benefitting. Through this 2nd COPSI, the participants could also obtain some valuable inputs to continue their innovation so the products can be more beneficial for the people. This activity was even more rousing by the online announcement of 5 (five) winners in the 2nd COPSI on 05 November 2020. The winners would receive fund assistance for the development of their innovative products so they can create more added values  for the people in general. Kerja sama antara Universitas Terbuka (UT) dengan Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi (STEI) IPWI Jakarta telah diwujudkan dalam bentuk penandatanganan nota kesepahaman. Kerja sama dalam Tri Dharma Pendidikan Tinggi ditandatangani oleh Rektor UT Prof. Ojat Darojat, M.Bus., Ph.D. dan Ketua STEI IPWI Jakarta Dr. Suyanto, S.E., M.M., M.Ak., Ak CA. di Wisma 2, Kamis (26/11/2020). Dalam sambutannya, Ojat menyampaikan bahwa UT membuka diri untuk membangun kemitraan dari berbagai instansi termasuk STEI IPWI Jakarta. Sebagai PTN ke-45 yang menjalankan mode Pendidikan Tinggi, Terbuka dan Jarak Jauh, UT membuka seluas-luasnya bagi seluruh masyarakat untuk melanjutkan berkuliah di UT. Ojat menambahkan bahwa UT menjangkau mahasiswa yang tersebar hingga pelosok Indonesia. Hal senada disampaikan oleh Suyanto, ia berharap melalui kerja sama dengan UT dapat menjalankan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi serta mendukung pengembangan e-learning milik STEI IPWI Jakarta. Ia berterima kasih atas sambutan dari Rektor UT.
